Who is Rubi and how did Rubi's Outdoors come about ??

Rubi (short for Rubicon - as in Jeep) is our family dog.  She has 2 other 4 legged friends in our house -Chopper and Ellie who are felines.  

I am Alannah Skot.  Welcome to the website for my new business venture.  Let me tell you a bit about myself.  I graduated from the U of S in the spring of 2017 with a Geology degree.  Although I love rocks….I love fishing and the outdoors more.  I grew up just north of Calgary in the Carstairs area on an acreage where I learned to love the outdoors, horses and any other animal that came along.  I participated in equine 4H for 6 years with my beloved Flicka, a quarterhorse mare.

My family's holidays bring us to the Denare Beach, SK/Flin Flon, MB / Creighton, SK area most summers where we fish and do a lot of quadding.  Many Christmas' have been spent at the cabin where we all love to icefish and snowmobile.  

Now, as an adult, I have chosen to make Denare Beach my home.  I love the north and everything it offers.  I have wanted to own my own business for many years.  Now's the time.  I hope you can stop by my store when you're in the Creighton area.
